Competitor intelligence that publishes

The workspace that watches your competitors.

Track rival accounts by name, catch the posts that break out the hour they do, and publish an original draft while the idea is still worth something.

Free plan, no card. 3 competitors and 30 posts a month.

A follower count is not a content strategy.

It moves once a quarter and tells you nothing about what to post on Thursday. What moves is which posts worked, for whom, and what carried them.

Today

With Crestnote

You watch a rival by opening their profile and scrolling.

Every rival account read on a schedule, with the history kept from day one.

A post looked big. Against what, nobody can say.

A post is a breakout when it beats that account’s own recent average.

The insight arrives in a report somebody opens on Friday.

The insight arrives as a draft in the queue, written in your voice.

Scheduling lives in a second tool that knows none of this.

One workspace holds the signal, the draft and the calendar.

The product

Five things it does, every day, without being asked.

Watch the accounts you name, not an industry average.

  • Add a rival by handle. Follower counts and posts collect from that day forward and the history is yours to keep.
  • A benchmark built from your own named list beats a category median that describes nobody in it.
  • Group rivals per client, so an agency runs one workspace per account without the lists bleeding together.

How it works

From their post to your calendar.

Four stages, running on a schedule. The only one that waits for you is the last.

  1. 01

    Collect

Scheduled reads per network, capped per workspace so one busy tenant cannot starve the rest. Follower counts, rival posts and profile snapshots, every day, kept forever.

    • Rival profiles
    • Rival posts
    • Follower snapshots
  2. 02

    Score

Each post is compared against its own author’s trailing average, then the mechanics are read off it: format, hook shape, caption length, hashtag count, hour of day.

    • Hook shape
    • Hashtags
    • Hour
  3. 03

    Draft

The signal feeds a draft in your captured brand voice for that network. Metered against your plan before the call and recorded after it, on the success path and the error path both.

  4. 04

    Publish

It lands in a queue on the workspace clock and waits for a person. On approval the publisher enforces that network’s caption limit, media rules and posting mode, then records what the platform answered.

Where the data comes from

We will name the endpoint.

Ask any tool in this category where its competitor numbers come from and read how long the answer takes. Here is ours, per network, in one table.

Every one is a documented API the network publishes for this purpose. Nothing is scraped, and nothing about your competitors is ever pooled with another customer.

  • Instagram

    Graph business_discovery

Public Business and Creator profiles with their recent posts, likes and comments.

  • Threads

    GET /profile_lookup

Public profiles above one hundred followers, with likes, quotes and reposts.

  • YouTube

    Data API channels.list

Public channel statistics and uploads, on our key. You connect nothing.

  • Bluesky

    Public AppView

An open, unauthenticated endpoint. No key, no account, no permission needed.

Frequently asked questions

How is a breakout decided?

Every rival post is compared against that account’s own trailing average, not against an industry benchmark. A rival with four hundred followers and one with four hundred thousand are each measured on their own numbers, which is the only way the signal survives a competitor who buys an audience.

Do you scrape?

No. Every read is a documented API the network publishes for the purpose, named per network in the table above. Scraping puts the customer’s own connected accounts at risk, and it is the fastest way to lose platform access for everybody at once.

Will my competitors know I am tracking them?

No. Everything read is what the network already publishes openly, through an interface built for reading it. There is no follow, no view, no notification and no interaction of any kind with their account.

Can I see a competitor’s history from before I added them?

No, and neither can anyone else in this category. No network hands out history from before a profile was added to a tool, so a chart begins the day you start. That is the argument for adding the names early, even on the free plan.

Does it post for me automatically?

Only if you decide it should. Drafts land in a queue and wait for a person to approve them, and the audit trail records which person. The default is that nothing reaches an audience without you.

What happens to my platform tokens?

They are AES-GCM ciphertext in a schema the public API cannot reach, decrypted server side only. No token is ever readable by a browser, and none is written to a log or an audit table.

Add your first competitor today.

No network hands anyone history from before a profile was added. Tracking one today is what gives you a chart next month.
