Approvals inside the team, and who can do what

The five roles, and how a post waits for somebody to approve it before it can go out.

The roles

Viewers can look and change nothing. Approvers can also approve posts or send them back. Members organise: they upload media, track competitors and talk in Chat. Admins and owners write and schedule posts, delete files, connect accounts and spend money, and can approve posts too. Only an owner handles billing and hands the workspace on.

Invite people and change roles on Settings, then Team. Viewers do not take a seat.

Asking for approval

  1. Save the post as a draft, then open it and press Send for approval.
  2. The post waits with the status awaiting approval. Everybody who can approve gets a notification, and an email if they turned that alert on.
  3. An approver opens the post and presses Approve and queue it, which puts it in the queue at its time, or Send it back to drafts.

When an approval clears

Editing the words, the media, the network or the time of an approved post removes its approval record, because a signature on Tuesday's version is not a signature on Wednesday's. The approval record shows who approved and when.
