Pausing all publishing
Stop everything in a workspace from going out at once, and resume without a flood of old posts.
When to use it
Pause is a crisis switch: a news event, a mistake in a campaign, a client asking you to stop. While a workspace is paused, nothing in it is published, by the queue, by Publish now, by first comments or by recycling.
Pausing and resuming
- Open Settings, then Workspace, and find Publishing. Or press Cmd K and type "pause".
- Press Pause and optionally give a reason. A banner appears on every screen for everybody in the workspace.
- To resume, press Resume on the banner or in the same section.
What happens on resume
Posts whose time passed during the pause are marked missed rather than sent all at once, so nothing out of date floods out. Reschedule the ones you still want. Posts still in the future go out as normal.
Only owners and admins can pause or resume.
